Children’s minds can come up with quite adventurous and exciting ideas, but putting it on paper can help them express their one-of-kind thoughts into words. Our creative writing class will encourage creativity, assist students with the technical things like spelling, vocabulary, and grammar. Yet this class isn’t one sized fits all. While we may help our youngest students to spell out the simpler words in their story while utilizing art to bring it to life, our older students can receive personalized help to build their story in a way that supports their academic development and creative avenues. In this fun class, we’ll be learning how to survive in the wild! What an intense perspective, but I can be both fun and educational for students of different ages. Students will be taught basic survival skills like building a shelter, identifying safe foods, and they’ll learn how to connect these things to stories of resilience that we see in the Bible.

Due to the nature of this course we recommend this for older students, but younger students may be involved too if the parent deems it to be okay for where they are in their development. For ages 3-13 on Thursdays at 10 am PST for two hours and a second class availability at 12:30 pm PST. Beginning June 19, 2025 and will take place over the course of 8 weeks! Cooking can be so much fun for kids, but there is an important step before that! Pre-cooking teaches kids recipes that don’t require an oven or a stove and allows their creativity to flow! This class will be a hands-on learning environment where we practice a variety of different recipes and children can truly be fed the fruits of their labor!
