A Glimpse of How We Learn

At Good Shepherd’s Garden Academy, our curriculum is built on a strong foundation of faith and hands-on learning. We incorporate nature, real-life experiences, and project-based activities to engage children in meaningful learning that connects to the world around them. Our small teacher-to-student ratios ensure that each child receives individualized attention, allowing us to tailor the educational experience to their unique needs and abilities. This personalized approach fosters a deep love for learning and encourages curiosity in every child.

For preschoolers, we focus on key developmental areas such as fine motor skills, positive socialization, and behavior development. Through creative activities like arts and crafts, outdoor play, and hands-on projects, children build the essential skills they need for academic and personal growth. Social-emotional learning is a key part of our program, helping preschoolers develop emotional regulation, empathy, and positive peer interactions. By creating a nurturing environment, we help children grow in confidence and build strong social skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

In addition to these foundational skills, our curriculum emphasizes early literacy, number sense, problem-solving, and critical thinking. We believe in integrating biblical values throughout all subjects, teaching children to view the world through a faith-filled lens. Nature-based learning is a core component of our program, allowing children to explore God’s creation and understand the beauty of the world around them. With a focus on individualized learning, we provide a well-rounded educational experience that prepares children for success in both academics and life.
